Something for Everyone About Our Store
Founded in 1911, Half Moon Bay Feed and Fuel is a family run business. Carl Hoffman purchased Half Moon Bay feed and Fuel on Jan 22, 1990 to keep himself busy during retirement. As the years passed, he not only became an advocate for Half Moon Bay, local agriculture, and a supporter of small businesses but he also expanded his business interests to include more than just a store in town. In 2002 Feed and Fuel merged with the local Farm Supply Store, which was founded in 1949, to better serve the equine industry, small farmers and the pet business. This merge allowed Carl Hoffman to help preserve some of the history of Main Street. Carl's love of horses led him to horse boarding and his passion for cattle from his younger days had him expanding his own herd on one of his ranches. Though he passed away in 2018, the businesses he started are still running strong.
